NEWS RELEASE                                7 July 2009

'Good content and quality speakers' are all part of the package for PriMe Core and Specialist modules this Autumn

The Pharmaceutical Marketing Society is delighted to announce the Autumn dates for its popular Core and Specialist modules, which are being held at Beaumont House in Old Windsor.

The three day Core module 'The Essentials of Pharmaceutical Marketing' takes place from 7th – 9th October and is particularly suited to newly appointed or aspiring pharmaceutical marketers, or for those working in complementary departments. The one day 'Pharmaceutical Marketing for Non-Marketers' takes place on 20th October and is ideal for non-marketers who wish to develop a broader understanding of marketing principles and practice.

A recent attendee Toby Cooper, UK Product & Promotions Manager at Allergan, commented: “I attended the excellent PriMe Core Module and found it genuinely gave me things to think about that I intend to put into practice. The pace and content of the course certainly matched the needs of the attendees. There were good quality, knowledgeable external speakers presenting on real situations and real products.”

The Specialist modules, although designed to complement the Core modules, can be taken individually and are ideal for those marketers wanting a better understanding of specific topics affecting their roles. These courses have particular value to those who regularly interact with operational marketing.

Dates and topics for Autumn are:

Financial Management in Marketing  1 day  16 October
Effective Sales Forecasting  1 day  19 October
Understanding & Working with the NHS  1 day  21 October
Understanding the Competition ½ day (am)  22 October
Market Research Essentials  1 day  23 October

Places on all courses tend to fill quickly so it is advised to book as soon as possible. For further information on PriMe programmes, including costs, please visit: prime.pmsociety.org.uk or contact Vivien Bennett on 01403 264898 or vivien@pmsociety.org.uk.
