PM Society Hot Topic meeting to focus on Market Access for Biosimilars in Europe

The PM Society is pleased to announce that it is running another of its popular, informative Hot Topic meetings, ensuring you're always up-to-date with what's new and topical in the pharmaceutical marketing industry. Taking place on Tuesday September 20th 2011 at the Royal Society of Medicine in London, the theme for discussion is: 'Understanding the Impact and the Critical Elements of Market Access for Biosimilars in Europe.'

The ever-changing area of biosimilars can be confusing and challenging in this competitive market and there is an obvious need to redesign the traditional approach to key stakeholders and carve new market access strategies to enable companies to succeed. We have taken this need on-board and have invited three leading experts in the field of biosimilars to provide specialist insight into the scientific, regulatory, economics and marketing of biosimilars and their increasing effect on the pharmaceutical market.

The speakers, who we are delighted to welcome, are: Dr. Rakesh Verma, Vice President of Prescient Life Sciences and a global expert on the biosimilar industry; Dr Jorge Mestre-Ferrandiz, Senior Economist at the Office of Health Economics and John Stanley BSc Pharmacy, Industry Consultant and Visiting Fellow at the School of Pharmacy at the University of Hertfordshire.

During their presentations, each speaker will provide specific reference to the evolving UK market and the implications of biosimilars in the development and execution of successful market access strategies.

This enlightening event will commence at 6.30pm with an opportunity for networking, before the presentations begin at 7pm. The evening will conclude at 9pm with a question and answer session.

Tickets for members and non-members alike are available now at a special price of £80 + VAT. For further details and to secure your place, please visit www.pmsociety.org.uk or contact Vivien Bennett on 01403 264898 or vivien@pmsociety.org.uk.
