Neil has over 20 years successful and varied experience in the pharmaceutical industry, encompassing roles in Pharmaceutical R&D, Sales Management, Business Intelligence and Marketing. That experience now supports his role as Director of inform pharma consulting who specialize in providing supporting to pharma and service sector companies to effectively commercialise their products and services. He has been a committee member since 2008 and works on the PriMe and Educational sub-committees.
Mat established Neovoca Ltd with the aim 'to build a valuable and legitimate dialogue between patients and industry'. He is a highly experienced pharmaceutical sales and marketing executive, with previous roles including ten years on the Board of Janssen-Cilag in the UK and Ireland, and experiences that cover strategic planning, CRM, E-Business and marketing excellence. Passionate about the opportunities, and intrigued by the challenges, offered by digital and social media, Mat is keen to play a role supporting the pharmaceutical industry as it learns a new way to communicate. He is serving on the PM Society Education and Membership sub-committees.

Sandy joined the Executive Committee following her election as Vice-Chairman of the Society for 4 years from 2001 – 2005. She then spent 3 years as Chairman leading the introduction of the ABPI workshops, establishing further administrative support for the Society to allow them to take on additional initiatives and establishing PriMe as a comprehensive training programme. Since then she has remained an active Executive Committee member, as joint lead on PriMe.

Rachel Farrow is Global Vice President of Medical Communications at Quintiles where she runs offices in the UK and US and manages a team of over 100 employees. She has been in the industry for 18 years, and has expertise in communications for Pharma and biotech companies, medical education, sales force training, patient focused programmes and digital media. She has been Vice Chair of the PM Society for 2 years and a Committee member since 2007.
Steve is a former Vice Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Marketing Society and chairman of our Education Sub-Committee. He is still actively involved in the on-going development of the PriMe Training Course. He is founding director of SML Associates, a specialist marketing and clinical development consultancy. He has a wealth of experience in the strategic development and execution of pre- and post-launch marketing and communication programmes, first hand knowledge of both the regulatory and the CRO / clinical services markets and has been a strong advocate and practitioner of establishing the vital link between regulatory strategy, the design and implementation of clinical trials programmes and the successful marketing and commercialisation of new products.
One of the longest serving committee members including a spell of 3 years in the chair, Neil has for the last ten years been responsible for the Society's flagship event, the annual advertising awards. In addition he looks after the design and production of the Society's promotional requirements (eg event mailings, newsletters) and is generally involved in the social side of the organisation. Neil's day job is Director of Communications for Adventis Health, a healthcare communications agency based in Beaconsfield, Bucks.

Having spent over 13 years in the pharmaceutical industry Ivor is now managing director of MGP, a specialist publisher dedicated to improving patient's lives by promoting best practice in healthcare. Journals include Guidelines, Guidelines in Practice, Medendium and the eGuidelines.co.uk website. In addition MGP supports the industry in translating guidance in to clinical practice through a range of print projects, on line offerings and workshops. Ivor is a past chairman of the Pharmaceutical Marketing Society and current chairman of the education committee.
Vivien has been Secretary of the PM Society for 20 years. In this time she has enjoyed her role in helping to take the Society from a networking ‘club’ to the vibrant, professional organisation it is today.
She enjoys catching up with members at meetings throughout the year but takes particular pleasure in seeing so many of the Society’s 1400 members at the annual Advertising Awards ceremony in January.

SINCE November 2007 Paul has been Board Community Director at Principia Partners in Health (PBC Cluster, NHS Nottinghamshire County) (www.principia.nhs.uk). Ram Patel is Managing Director of Brainsell Ltd. He is an economist and chartered marketer with 18 years of marketing and market research experience, of which the last 14 have been in healthcare. In 2001 he set up Brainsell Ltd, a healthcare market research agency specialising in online methodologies. Clients include pharmaceutical companies as well as the agencies that serve them.
David established Pathway Communications in response to the rapidly changing healthcare environment. David comes to Pathway with a wealth of experience in marketing and communications in the healthcare industry.
David is focused on developing value for the NHS through understanding the environment and the data, thereby helping organisations design successful strategies and then turning strategies into successful tactics.
Before setting up Pathway Communications David worked for Napp Pharmaceuticals. For the last three years he has specialised in understanding the NHS and its environment. David has developed industry leading solutions building online commission tools that enabling organisations to commission pain services and share experiences with other PCTs, before he left over 90 organisations had registered and were actively redesigning pain services.
David has a wealth of experience of communicating and marketing in the NHS environment. He led many successful communication projects and understands how to use communications skills to inform and change behaviour.

Helen is owner and Managing Director of Helen Lawn & Associates a healthcare PR and communications agency. She established the agency in 2000 having gained experience in Med Ed and PR at a number of companies including Reed Elsevier and Interaction.
The agency clients include Pharma company brands and corporate PR, Patient Advocacy Groups and specialist Pharma service companies.
Helen is a committee member and the PR Officer for the Pharmaceutical Marketing Society and has worked with the Society since January 2002. She is currently on the Annual Events and Prime Sub-Committees.

SINCE November 2007 Paul has been Board Community Director at Principia Partners in Health (PBC Cluster, NHS Nottinghamshire County) (www.principia.nhs.uk). His other roles include board member of the Clinical Reference Group, board member on the Cardio-Respiratory Task & Finish Group and patient member on Integrated Care Pilot COPD group since July 2009.
He is also Chair of the Nottinghamshire Service Review Patient & Public Advisory Panel and patient representative on the Nottinghamshire Service Review Programme Board (Darzi workstreams implementation). He has also chaired Musters Medical Practice Patient Participation Group since September 2008.

Ram Patel is Managing Director of Brainsell Ltd. He is an economist and chartered marketer with 18 years of marketing and market research experience, of which the last 14 have been in healthcare. In 2001 he set up Brainsell Ltd, a healthcare market research agency specialising in online methodologies. Clients include pharmaceutical companies as well as the agencies that serve them.

David has developed industry leading solutions building online commission tools that enabling organisations to commission pain services and share experiences with other PCTs, before he left over 90 organisations had registered and were actively redesigning pain services.

Nicky Sturt is Marketing Manager for the BioPharma Business Unit at Baxter Healthcare, responsible for the company's Haemophilia and Immunoglobulin portfolio. She has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for nearly twenty years and held roles in both industry and also in the field of clinical trial and medical education communication to healthcare professionals and patients.
Her experience covers UK and European medical device and pharmaceutical brand management, strategic planning, and marketing and medical communications. Nicky is passionate about developing services, for both patients and healthcare professionals, that can bring improvements to patient safety, allow patients to be treated at home, and provide efficiencies for the healthcare system.
Nicky joined the PM Society committee a few months ago and is looking forward to representing industry, on the committee, at a time where marketers face, with the many changes that are happening in the UK and global market place, increased challenges to ensure that marketing plans are responding to these changes.

Jon is currently working as a consultant at GSK in the European Digital Centre of Excellence. A specialist in online marketing, Jon was also former CEO of OnMedica and Business Development Director at Creative Lynx, winning the Geoff Brook Award for Innovation on two occasions for pioneering tablet detailing and comprehensive launch campaigns respectively. Jon has also had a successful career in Pharma, responsible for the marketing of the £350m blockbuster Zoton and launching Zoton Fastab. He was winner of the PharmaTimes Team Marketer of the Year in 2002. Outside work, Jon has been a key player and Chairman for Bramley Cricket Club, enjoys golf, skiing, gardening, cars and reading.
