The best creative work in healthcare was recognised at Friday's PM Society Advertising Awards. Now in its 26th year, the Awards has continued to attract an excellent level of entries. Of the 23 agencies who submitted entries on behalf of 35 pharma companies, 11 were successful in winning one of the coveted Awards. Winners ranged from the well-established agencies to newcomers, with Langland taking an impressive four wins and 13 commendations and OPEN Health, winning the Healthcare Industry Award in their first year of entering.
Also announced at the ceremony was the result of the 2011 Digital Pioneer Award. This year the honour was awarded jointly to Dr Simon Clough, General Manager of Daiichi Sankyo UK and John Pugh, Director of Digital Communications, at Boehringer Ingelheim. There's more information about the 2011 Digital Pioneer winners on our blog.
"At Boehringer Ingelheim we're delighted to be recognised for the expertise that we have in the digital world"
As ever, the PM Society Advertising Awards is a highly regarded event, reflected by the continued support of our sponsors, entrants and guests who have ensured that this event grows year on year; truly remarkable in a commercial environment that is increasingly challenging.
An amazing sum of £14,300 was raised by guests for the Society’s adopted charity, the Rainbow Trust. The charity’s presentation was given by Nicola O’Donnell who was incredibly grateful for your generous donations, which will allow a family support worker to assist a child with leukaemia for five months.
Comedian Simon Evans entertained guests (except possibly the Welsh contingent!) before host Jason Manford took to the stage to begin the presentations to the winners of the 17 Craft and Target Audience judged awards. The prestigious ‘Geoff Brook Award for Innovation’, presented by Award’s Chairman Neil Smith, was won by Creative Lynx for their 'Maintaining Adherence Programme’ for Janssen. The full results brochure can be found here and you can also view a gallery of photographs from the day.
"This year we've won one - next year we'll win all of them!"
Stephen Page, Managing Director, Euro RSCG Life Medicom
Following the ceremony guests continued to network with industry friends and colleagues, an excellent end to a fantastic event.
Our congratulations go to all the winners and nominees and our grateful thanks to all our sponsors for their continued support.
