An Evening at Epsom Downs

On 15th July over 50 PM Society members and their guests were privileged to enjoy a sunny (one of the few) summer's evening of racing at Epsom race course.

From the Boardroom, a private box overlooking the finishing line, racegoers were able to study the form and place their bets and then watch anxiously and excitedly as the runners swung around Tattenham Corner and into the finishing straight. Our party were able to celebrate and commiserate and swap 'hot tips' over a 2-course sit down meal with wine and coffee which was served during the evening. There were 6 closely fought races on the night, so plenty of chances to win - or lose! When the final race was over the fun didn't stop as finalists from Fame Academy took to the stage - surprisingly most of the party seemed to drift away at this point!
