The forecast was good, the yachts were shipshape; all we needed were our crews to arrive for the 9th PM Society Sailing Regatta and we were ready to set sail.
With the sun shining, we had an exceptional day sailing on the Solent. Starting with safety briefing and some racing tips from our experienced skippers, crews from the industry were given training and instructions before lifting anchor and setting out from Port Hamble for a day’s racing.
Companies had taken the opportunity to bring different personnel together for a unique teambuilding event, not only giving colleagues the opportunity to challenge themselves but to work together in a totally unique and new environment. Everyone said how much they had gained from the event and while there could only be one winning yacht (congratulations to the mixed crew from Intrapharm, Brainsell, Tillingbourne Brewery and the PM Society) they all left Port Hamble smiling and encouraged by their achievements.
The 2014 Regatta is booked for 29-30 June so save the date now and make sure your team has a chance to take on the challenge next year.
