Rob is Director of Pharmacy at the Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester and a registered pharmacist with over 25 years’ experience of delivering patient focussed pharmaceutical care, the past 12 as a chief pharmacist. In recent years the initiatives that he has led have led to practice changes on a national level with the introduction of national dose banding for chemotherapy; new ways of working with the pharmaceutical industry resulting in significant investment in projects focussed on optimising the use of medicines and driving forward the hospital pharmacy transformation plans in Manchester.

Diar is the Associate Director of Medicines Optimisation at Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley CCG. Diar takes the lead on the provision of medicines optimisation on all matters relating to medicines use, prescribing and the provision of pharmaceutical services to the CCG. He also sits on the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) Technology Appraisal Committee. Previously, he was a tutor at the Centre for Postgraduate Pharmacy Education (CPPE) based at the University of Manchester and a pharmacist clinical advisor on NHS 111.

Hassan is a founding Director and Chief Commercial Officer at Health iQ. He is an expert in developing real world data solutions, having spent many years at the forefront of informatics, public health and commissioning support for the NHS. He is an Honorary Research Officer at Imperial College London developing blended learning courses on Data Science at the Global eHealth Unit. He is also a Lay Advisor to the Royal College of Ophthalmologists advising on areas such as informatics, a member of the Pharmaceutical Health Information Group (PHIG) at the ABPI and a Committee Member of the PM Society.

Mike is NHS Engagement Partner (London) and Specialised Commissioning Lead at The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI). He supports the Industry to better understand the changing landscape of healthcare based on expertise and experience gained from nearly 2 decades working in NHS, principally in commissioning roles within PCTs. Building on pharmaceutical industry experience gained at Roche Products Ltd, Mike joined the ABPI in late 2012 where, as part of the national engagement team, his role is focused on development of strategic relationships between the industry and the NHS to achieve the ‘triple win’ – for patients, the NHS and industry. He currently leads initiatives around partnership working and NHS collaboration in London and the South.

Dr Mateen Jiwani - Medical Director for Enfield CCG Read Bio
Dr Jiwani works as a GP and Medical Director for Enfield Primary Care Trust and is an Education Lead for Royal College of General Practitioners (NWL). He completed an NIHR fellowship in eHealth and is a lecturer for Telemedicine at Imperial College. Dr Jiwani has experience in leadership in commissioning, community provider trusts and Acute Hospital NHS Trust level in a previous post as Deputy Medical Director. Dr Jiwani’s experience ranges from implementing pathway changes to introducing a new integrate care model for Mental health across West London.
He also work as a Royal College of GPs Post Graduate Tutor in Minor Surgery and Skin Cancer. Dr Jiwani continues his passion to improve health innovation and change of healthcare service delivery with scalable models across primary and secondary care.

Mark Duman MRPharmS is a rare blend of clinician, management consultant and patient advocate. He works with organisations to help them realise the full benefit of their services and products, especially through the often untapped potential of patients and the public.His first foray into digital health was installing the pharmacy component of a Cerner electronic health record system at Health Care International, Scotland in 1994. In Lewisham NHS Hospital he developed the award-winning PharmAssist system harnessing multimedia t to help ethnic minorities with their medicines-taking. At The King’s Fund, Mark promoted shared clinical decision making, founded the Ask About Medicines campaign & authored ‘Producing Patient Information’. Within the BBC, he developed a range of behaviour change interventions to improve people’s health and lifestyle. Following roles in publishing and telecoms, Mark moved into consulting with clients including Cancer Research UK, Care Quality Commission, Pfizer, NHS England and Microsoft. In addition to various advisory and mentor roles, he Founded the Patient Information Forum, is a NW Service Champion for Diabetes UK and an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Salford.
